- The Hudson Webber Foundation concentrates its giving within the
City of Detroit. Programs in communities outside of Detroit within
the Wayne, Oakland and Macomb tri county area of southeastern
Michigan are not excluded from consideration, but are assigned
considerably lower priority. Programs outside of the tri-county area
of southeastern Michigan generally are not supported.
- The Foundation assigns highest priority to projects falling
within the Mission Area pages of this website. Projects
outside the scope of these program missions generally are not
encouraged, unless they relate to a critical community need.
- The Foundation is especially interested in providing "seed
money" to stimulate the development of innovative projects. Once a
project is established, the Foundation expects that funds from other
sources will cover the continuing costs.
- The Foundation does not make grants for endowments, for
fundraising social events, conferences, or exhibits.
- Grants are made to educational institutions and neighborhood
organizations only for projects which further the program missions
of the Foundation.
- With the exception of the Foundation's program for Hudsonians,
the Foundation does not make grants to individuals.
